POSTCARDS FROM FORMENTERA
Zoë and her Formentera faithfuls reveal their cherished chiringuitos and off-grid calas, that you won't find in your local guidebooks. This magnetic island where houses iced in whitewash guard a pale shoreline and sweet sage and strange herbs grow, restores and reenergises in equal measures.
PAELLA AT PELAYO
"This rustic beach bar serves up the best paella Formentera has to offer. Don't expect any frills, this is a local Sunday institution with a refreshingly honest, feet-in-sand, bohemian vibe."
- Zoë Jordan

PIRATABUS

"At Piratabus, a low-slung surf shack on Playa Migjorn, overnighters congregate like bats at dusk to sip mojitos in the sand and hum along to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. On the way home, we pull over on the cliff top. I throw a creamy cashmere jumper, tie-dyed and sun-speckled like driftwood at dawn, over my shoulders and we lean back to count shooting stars with the roof down"

-Maya Boyd, Travel Editor

A TASTE OF CAN RAFALET

"Restaurant Can Rafalet in Es Caló is well known for it’s lobster and chips, as well as the grilled catch of the day - caught that morning, you won’t taste fresher fish anywhere. Only a few know that the best surprise is at the end of your meal when the waiter asks you if you’d like a chupito. The answer is of course always yes, and the meloncello is not to be missed. Bon Profit!”

-Joanna Cybulski, Creative Director

 ES CALÓ DE SANT AGUSTÍ

"Es Caló de Sant Agustí is a visual feast that will send anyone into a spin. It is like stepping back to a time of true Mediterranean life. The shelter of the fisherman’s village combined with the transparency of the sea is where I like to spend my mornings drinking my Cortado."

-Jack Savoretti, Singer
