DESERT RUSH: THE MARRAKECH EDIT
"Marrakech’s fabled souk is a seething, visceral bazaar, the home of paupers and princes, craftsmen, and pickpockets, where all manner of earthly delights play out behind delicately carved doors.
I buy fresh pomegranate juice from a weather-beaten street-seller and slide into the depths of the souk. Handwoven raffia baskets, dip-dyed and gently frayed, hang like sweeties from the myriad storefronts. In dusky pink, teal and a vivid chartreuse that steals my heart, this is craftsmanship at its most elemental. I wear ancient jeans and a deconstructed sand cashmere knit, emulating the desert drenched colours of surrounding Rhiad's with their blue faded doors"
